Carbon fibre bonnet

Postby kitkat » Thu Apr 02, 2020 9:30 am

Hi guys, hope you're all keeping safe out there. The following two videos are not BMW's in action I'm afraid, but showing how I've made a carbon fibre bonnet using the resin infusion technique. They only show the outer skin being formed, I'll try and post a video of the finished item. The finished bonnet weighs in at 2.9Kg!

Carbon front bumper and grille mould has just been made and then it's WRC style front wings. I'm slowly working my way backwards so I guess I will eventually make the tailgate! :D
