new build

Postby jerseypug » Tue May 28, 2019 11:25 pm

I have finally finished the e30 build and having a shake down at the weekend with a sprint and 2 hill climbs followed by a rally 2 weeks later. Hopefully it will all be ok but it has had so much work done on it that there are likely to be teething problems. I converted the shell from left hand drive to right hand drive but regretted it when i tried fitting the exhaust manifold.

The exhaust manifold was about £60 but there was no way it was going to fit a right hand drive car. it took a lot of work and I have had to fit the engine slightly off centre to help with clearance. it isn't ideal but it seems to work ok and i have chassis engine mounts so the engine does not move about too much
