I hope you don't mind me asking but can you share details on what suspension set up you are using for gravel stages? damper make/type, damper rate, spring rates and lengths, front and back, etc...

Most compacts seem to be used on tarmac and yours looks well set up for gravel.

It also looks like you have done away with the heater box. I suppose this was due to the dash bar in the roll cage. Did you opt for an electric heated windscreen and if so how is that working out for you? I have read on here that they're not very good or reliable...?

Hi guys, I'm running reiger dampers and springs, I think they're 32N front springs and 25N rears. I have asked reiger for damper curves but they won't issue them..... we're still struggling for traction, I'm looking at running twin springs on the rear to have a rising rate and hope this will be a step in the right direction. I ran e46 front wishbones on the rally to increase front track.

Dashboard is a home made carbon affair and the heater is the standard matrix located behind codrivers footwell nice and low.

It's a cheap android tablet from eBay (£40), running the torque app, which I think was about £7. This is fed engine data via a blue tooth obd reader (£60), so there's no need for any extra engine sensors.You can then design your own dashboard layout, set limits etc.

It occasionally turns itself off after the first few minutes of running and needs rebooting, the battery doesn't last long even connected to a 5v supply so you need to remember to turn it off when you turn off the ignition and lastly the gps signal very rarely works.

Apart from that it's really very good and compared to a stack on system excellent value.

I was afraid you were going to say you had expensive-for-me dampers!

By the way, what length are your front springs? Is it a single spring or is there a helper spring as well?

I presume the Reiger front struts are more or less same length as a Bilstien coilover so whatever length front spring you're running would be suitable for most coilover set-ups?

I'll check for you next time I'm out in the shed! I'm going to try dual rear springs next to get a softer initial ride, trying to squeeze in a 7" tender spring hoping this will improve the traction! The two guys that have sat in the hot seat reckon it's quiet poor in comparison to a MK2 escort......
