What sort of power you think are you using?

The samsonas box, its the closer or the wider gears version? I have a 5spd gearbox with the closer version and i would like to compare with your car in the videos.

300lbs torq @ 6200, its high up due to removal of the vanos. This makes the engine pretty `cammy' and is more reliant on the gear ratios. Gearbox is 5sp close ratio 2.4 1st.

Well this year went better than expected ! Started well on the orc canal rally, steep learner with the new samsonas dog box, struggled with reverse but got through to win the firc 2wd class, couple of weeks later off to the wervik rally car wzs good in the dry but with no testing under our belt it was a bit 'suck it n see' last loop of stages rained but groped through and took the class again. Tbr rallysprint was only half points but proved worthwhile and was a good fun event, bagged some useful points.. with a bit of a summer break till the hemicuda we jusy serviced the compact to death , now running softer rear springs which helped the over rated dampers and with an unusually dry event it worked to our advantage and bagged another class win..so with one event left, kortrijk rally, what could go wrong? Unfamiliar roads caught us out on the way back from the night stage around the local recycling tip, big diversion and some mad driving got us back late so after a calming few beers that evening we took a steady approach , enjoying tbe stages without any major risk to get to the end and a suprising second in class.. brilliant! Bagged the 2wd class and overall FIRC champions too! Couldn't have gone better this year. The engine and gearbox have been solid performers and the medium case diff suprised us, cooler probably saved it as temps at times over there have been hot! And never over drove it.. busy winter as 210mm diff and modded beam and arms needs to be done.. some more belgium rallies next year. Come and join the fun! Dc

Possibly might sell 5 speed samsonas in favour of a 6 speed, to help big diff ratio, also 188mm shnitzer 4.75 diff might be going too.

Hmmm. That would be nice in mine. Which type of box is it? Separate bell housing or built in like an original casing?

Well done Bruvs, congratulations on your results! I'll try and update my car post over Christmas - it is finally on the road, but not on the stages yet... Good luck in 2017
