I had a good night on this one, 31st overall, 7th semi.
Passed Avto after an early wrong slot , he then followed me straight into a control and missed the "not as map" .
Was very slippy, managed to break both spot lamps , kept blowing fuses for interior lights also .
Well organised event, the last for me for a while , new baby expected early next year .

Keep your eyes out for the car though, a mate might be borrowing it for a few events.

Is it true then its 2012 that the spot lights and handbrake rules comes in now?

I was on Kumho R800 that are years old and borrowed from a mate, previously used Michelin.
Not impressed with the Kumho, the Michelins were taller, thus giving more ground clearance over the rough. I dont tend to back off on the rough and the Kumhos didnt give me the confidence to push on. I also got it stuck twice! Never before on the Michelins.
I did three events on the Michelins before they were shot (bought as part worns, so think they were hard) the rear Kumhos are now shot.
If I had the choice, I would go back to the Michelins, but told the R700 Kumho are better.

But, also have a physchological issue with the Kumhos, they were on the car for the first time when we went off and bent the car on the PK rally.

Keep your eye out for the car though, may be lent out to a few people over the next year for rallying again.

Found the main beam to be quite good (when they were not covered in mud) by accident after smashing the lamps on a tight triangle. The main and dip do have 100w bulbs in each though!!

what are the Michelins ?


I know i was driving very causiously, i just didnt have the confidence in the car to push any harder as you may have seen when you first caught us and it went well sideways !!!

The michelins are black round tyres

Will have a look at them next time I go out, might get blown away tonight if I go out there now.
