Road Rally - new rule's

has anyone seen the new rules for next year

No upright/vertical handbrakes
spot lights no bigger than 7"
noise is now 3 db's lower

a load of rubbish in my eyes, just pipped up a upright in mine and now i have to take it out next year ! WTF is 3 db's going to make to the genral puplic, for that matter why dose it matter if my handbrake is upright or not ?????
MSA gone mad ??? they will end up killing the sport off, rumor has it of it being made standed production 1400cc from 2012 !!!

sadly it doesn't look like my e30 will be seeing another road rally due to my financial situation and these rumours about the 1400cc rule coming in 2012

they are saying the noise rule will not happen but the othre two are pritty certain in one way or another, as for the 1400cc i have been hearing this for some years but personally i dont think they would go down that rute. it is a pain but if it keeps the sport going then il just have to bite the bullet, fortunatly i only have the handbrake to get around as i wasnt going to run spots to keep the car looking normal

if they say its got to be <1400 thats almost saying its down to power or why else would you want to do that? So i dont think they will go down that route anyway...

I'm convinced that the MSA want to kill road rallying and are bringing in small rule changes every year and tightening the noose. We won't see any in about 10 years.

Noise increases on a logarithmic scale ---- a decrease of 3 Db is actually a halving of the noise level

They're trying to kill any form of clubby affordable rallying in my humble opinion. And they're doing a pretty good job of it
