Looks a nice shell, love the colour so wats the plan with it then?

Plan is to sell mine and build this one into a minter Shell appears to be absolutely mint - and includes the full original MTEC kit - bumpers, skirts, spoiler and even a roof spoiler. Has only done 35k and was an import in 2002.

Car certainly won't stay red - several options in mind, but whichever it turns out to be you'll notice us coming

I was going to effectively reshell the existing car and sell the shell (try saying that after a few sherbets ) but think I'll sell the entire car and buy a new M3 S50 engine etc for the new one... I know Simon isn't keen on his, but I've proven it can be competitive and I enjoy driving it

Spaceman is building the new car whilst I've got the current one so hopefully we won't be off the road during the build...

I'm not 'unkeen' on mine - I just don't view it in the same light as other 300 BHP RWD cars/options.....

But I can't afford the 'options' and I've still got 300 BHP with RWD.

looks decent with that body kit hopefully your arches will work round it

Its a good move keeping your hand in whilst having a new car built. You'll know what you want from the new car and you'll be up to speed sooner when its released

Well, I've got a beauty trophy for ist in class on its first event. Mr Kipling made it from tinfoil and a couple of lucky shoppers collected the unrequired 2nd & 3rd in class trophies, when they took a gamble with some exceedingly nice cakes.....

It was a bit like the Charlie & the chocolate factory frenzy from what I've heard.

BTT: We know they 'can' work on SVs, notax. There's a lump of bus to guide around tho and we blew some potentially decent/reasonable results with 'teething' problems/punctures/tyre grief & driver fcukwittery.

I'm intending to prove my Compact on an MV next year - bear in mind Paul has only got 4 events under his belt so far

It may be relevant that both events where I have done well have been very slippery - one due to ice, the other dust and gravel... I would have thought this would have played into the hands of the 4wd and Fwd cars but it seems to suit my technique.

Next event is RBMR and will be in current car so hopefully that will at least prove it can work on sticky tarmac too...

Getting a bit concerned by just how much I'll have to splash out on the new car... Original plan was to reshell, but now intending to sell existing and build another from scratch.

Realising just how much I'll have to buy - obviously engine and box but even down to new extinguishers, bias brakes, etc etc.. Budget has to partly depend on what I can sell existing car for - and I won't know that until it is too late

Dry & cold fast tarmac was where we fared the best, notax.

My SV reference was aimed at loose (or mixed) surfaces - My expectation is that M3 compacts will be exposed when this question is asked properly.

If you're pedalling yours quickly around slippery tarmac SVs. You could prove my expectations wrong. (Hope so. )

We dragged the red shed around a fast SV in the pissing rain and (without a 2 minute puncture) we'd have finished 4th or 5th OA (finished 12th), but a couple of the 2.0L escorts were genuinely faster with less power.

keep it 3 ltr and stay inside the blur book if your building a new car. no point going 3.2 as the msa are not daft.
