IIRC the suspension broke as did a few vertabrae in the drivers spine

Rear dampers exploded/set on fire, didn't they?

Two cracked vertebrae in Barry's back and a proper shafted rear end on the shell.

Instant retirement iirc.

Good jump, tho.






Edit:

Barry compressed 4 vertebrae and had to take quite a lot of time off from rally car racing....

His car didn't get off lightly either. All 4 shock absorbers blew out, the front ones dumped their oil in the engine bay causing a fire. shortly after this footage, both car and driver were out of the rally....looked cool though eh!

I haven't been airborn in any car yet, jumps have always seemed dubious to me in cars. As to my mind, the car only has to rotate a degree or two the wrong way and it'll try to throw the car in an direction when it lands. But I suppose its something you get used to and can anticipate?
