Bmw-rallying meet 2009

It was really good to meet up with M3Compact, Sunbmw and Woody at Richard Burns Rally last year.

I think we have all decided to give that event a miss this time - but I would like to suggest we could get together at the EMCOS Stages held near Cheltenham on 23rd May.

This was my favourite event of 2008 - 50 miles on slippery concrete Interesting stages, very fast and barely a cone in sight

Cheltenham is a good few hours north of us but as its close to the motorway hopefully a few of you could make it?

Last year entry was very good value too - only £165.

So, what do you think? I know the fact it is a sv won't appeal to all - but it was a very entertaining sv - especially as on concrete.

Yes, officially there are no spectators at this event - but there were at least 100 marshalls - some standing in fairly large groups

i think if you want to meet everyone you would not include rally cars...

for example, pic a rally over two days, the first day, pick a pub to meet in , id be well up for that!

3 events in one month would lead to instant divorce me thinks

Although there's the one up at Teeside, might stretch Epynt into a three day rally

I may be up for RBMR 2009 afterall - the organisers have promised to address our concerns from last year - less 90s, more narrow roads and less cone blindness! Everyone enjoyed the two day format and they are keeping that. Even better they are trying to reduce entry fee and are looking to invite to crews again (last year the three BMWrallying crews competed against the Subaru World Rally Team and Markko Martin )

Last year me, Miss Notax, Sunbmw and M3 Compact all made the event. Be great if we could have a re run and if a few others could join us. Regs out very soon...
