Right folks shall we start planning an event for next year sowe can all meet up.

June or July perhaps

Some where central to everybody

Tarmac venue

People can then put this in there budget for next year........................

It might be a plan to establish what format of event? :idea:

I'm game for absolutely anything, but the bruvs (understandably imo) aren't fussed for SVs...

I didn't particularly rate the Rally Of The Midlands last year, due to a dislike of Mira - but it's on 'middle ground/in the Midlands' (no 5hit Sherlock), it's in June, it's a very convenient & well organised event with good publicity, it's tarmac and the locals aren't cannibals.

Any other suggestions? :?:

As a side issue, I'm up for the Riponian/a bash in the woods, if anybody else fancies some sumpguard surfing?

I'd have a crack at the rotm but is'nt the loose a bit expensive i'm up for what ever............Car should be ready for around april may.........

tricky to plan that far in front, but going to the isle of man twice early next year in feb and may, big year for bruvs as hopefully realising a dream in doing the manx national. (forum weekend away, with or without car?

) and getting johnny sprinter over there if not this november with us. epynt??

I've spectated on Epynt loads of times but as for driving it ,i would with a nav thats been there a few times..................

Epynt isn't scary. It's folk lore and the like which give it the reputation.

Any venue is dangerous if you take your brain out. Drive within your capabilities and you should survive.

Epynt and Otterburn should be on your to do list.

Did both in 1996 Motoring News Tarmac Championship. Modesty prevents me from giving our results

Single venue events make the meeting/socialising easier than a multi venue when you are on the go all the time.

However due the the expense involved you have to really want to do the event whichever is decided upon.

Oh and I must crack on with the tugger Compact :lol:

Just a thought but why not coincide with the RWD Challenge, they are mostly a friendly bunch, and the more BMs the merrier.

A SV is more of a social thing chance to chat etc.

Pat no doubt will have a calendar towards the end of 2008 for 2009.

Have to say my car will be logbooked by then, and i want to do some other rallying that road rallying.

Now, i would be interested in single venue type of thing like neil says. I cant do any big events as of cost, although, i do like the sound of epynt.

Sorry to be arkward, but it would be ROTM for me, planning to do it anyway, nice sociable event, tatooed waitresses, the lot.
