Seat Mounts E36

Hi all

I`m currently building an E36 Compact rallycar and was wondering if I could use existing seat mounts rather than fabricating new ones.

You can use the existing BMW floor mounts to attach seat mounts to. That is what I have done in my car. I used driftworks ones but had to modify them slightly due to seat width. Other manufacturers make the seat mounts as well. Discussed in the link below.

I think most would agree that it is preferable to use custom made seat mountings - although I did use modified standard ones in my first car (even retaining the slider mechanism which most scroots didn't like) I was about to list some ally Corbeau ones on Ebay - they sell for £90 each and I'd accept £90 the pair including postage. The ebay bolt in ones are pants!

Nothing fits and i will never use them on another car!

Put in seat rails and do it properly is best option
