I'm reading this forum for a while, there is some really nice race cars. so decided to share my ''project'' as well....what is not so professional as many cars here, more like fun car

I had some knowledge in cars, engine building, but never built race car or smthng like that, but wanted one a long time ago.

for example, my daily, mostly everything made by myself except painting.

I will try chronologically. so it was interesting...I hope so.

car was sitting in mates service parking for about year...car had some problem with starter, nobody fixed that and car stayed there forever

ok, first, disassembled all interior to clean it up

then some bodywork, rear wheel arches had some ruust


also It was clear that we need some stiffer rear shocks, so reinforced rear strut towers


old exhaust was crap....so new exhaust

then at start in back I installed e30 yellow oem bilsteins and some lowered springs


also made shortshifter...spooort.


then it was last days till first race...so weld that fcker up

so, straight to first race ever....

...of course some damage has done to car


first race was fun, 1.6 was going like hell


of course after racing..back to wrenching

hit tire in corner, and bent tie rod...then I thought that it was shock what is bent..


also welded diff...hate you. bolts came loose all the time

ahh yes, installed different springs in bach, and back was in the air




and after race tried new setup, Toyota land cruiser shocks and e30 lowered springs, dayumn, hat was stiff and stable.

It was clear that m43b16 is not the most powerful engine...so more weight reduction

guys, why so low activity here....
ehh, okay, compact era gone...at end It was m52b28 with zf gearbox, typ188 lsd with sedan cover (2 fixation points), custom axles (from e34), my self built coils at front, bilsteins at back and many other mods were done, was light and funny car








..and now welcome e36 sedan platform
most of compacts parts was donored to sedan of course

bought running shell with homoligated roll cage, chasis itself needs some serious work, but Im not afraid
