Update on changes made, looks like manifold change helped massively, cam timing change also helped but we tweeked it some more while on the rollers, benefits were a super smooth Power curve and no drop in power at peak revs which also is another 700 rpm further on with it revving to 7000 as per 6200 before, managed a late entry at Wigan again, just need to on improve the handling now!

After spending all day finishing off more jobs, hopefully a good day testing tomorrow and we'll see what happens!!

late reply but improvements worked and with a couple of rollbar setting changes car started to work better and stage times improved, 3 sisters has short stages and tyres rarely see heat, but managed some better times and ended up 8th o/a . 2 out of 2 finishes which is encouraging. next rally in the compact is likely to be orc canal rally in belgium, we have wanted to go for some time and with the car being fresh we thought nows the time, more fia spec items needed than over here but nothing major other than hans needed which for our first "dip in the sea" we will hire.

Well done on your result, I must admit I did have a look that night at the results .
So what setup are you running now?,,,, what springs /arbs are you finding work for you?

Because of the damp slippy conditions we fully softened up the front as we have blades on the front and that helped but would deffo go up a few settings in the dry, softer 250lb front springs helped.. Rear springs unchanged but car is now lower and should work like that in Belgium and maybe 3 sisters in May again as a warm up!!

Great to see all the hard work is paying off guys. Some really good results for early events in the car. I watched a bit of this on YouTube. Really impressed with the detail in your build. You will definitely see a few Bruvs inspired ideas appear on my car.

Update on the compact, after 'having a look' in belgium, things ran hotter than normal , so decided to fit a larger oil cooler on the engine as temps were up, also cored the fan surround as to get more flow on the move too. Diff also went very noisy towards the end, currently having a refresh, but also decided to fit a cooler and electric pump which is proving a headache to house everything, hope to get some pic's tomorrow. Captivated all the fixings for the floor guards to speed up removal, they proved to be a great move as they took some stick and saved the floor from a caning. Looking forward to getting out again soon depending on whats on ..

With improvements made to the diff, pump and cooler fitted and some other minor changes, a test /small event at three sisters timed in well, and with 3 weeks to the pokerstars in the iom what could go wrong!! :$
A misty start and we were out of the blocks ok 10th after stage 1 , getting up the tyre compounds and finding good turn in and grip, had a few issues with gear selection but managed ok. By stage 5 up to 8th and having a push but on stage 6 again more selection problems but this time into a lower gear and at first thought I'd got away with it. Wheels of destruction must have started spinning as it let go Big at the end of the longest straight at Wigan. Game over. large ventilation hole in the block, bent valves = long winter!..
