Mull Rally 8th 9th 10th October

Anyone going up to the Tour? Davo and I are doing it this year. Sam and I are hoping not to find the wildlife (Hit a Stag flat in 6th on Gribain last year!)or punctures (lying 10th at start of last leg when we had a blow out costing 4mins!) this time. Think it's Davo first time on the Isle but he is a very fast learner so should be on the pace pretty quickly.

Should be a good one Jonny and we are grateful for your support. Can't wait now for that 7 hour slog up to Oban It is worth it though for what awaits across the water!

Yep im going 14th year now will be going up over night on thursday and on the first ferry from lochaline friday morning, watched at Dervaig junction on friday night last year then marshalled on the step's saturday afternoon followed by the passage control at the end of the long one saturday night.
Will be in my motorhome again which is a big thing to thread through the lanes of mull but very handy to get your head down in.
See you there Friday cant wait now.

Yes motorhome and Mull roads is not an easy combination but totally agree it's probably one of the best ways to see all that Mull has to offer. Hope to see you up there.

Yep, subject to it being ready in time following my indiscretions on Mewla (youtube!). Should be ok as Chris Cawthorne and the guys are on it. Not long now can't wait. Davo has got crap seeding but at least there is re seeding after each leg so hopefully if he can get a clean run on the first leg all will be good there after.

Copey ceratinly got the car, co-driver and experience to do it, think he said it was something like 25th time so he is a local by that reckoning! Some really quick guys out there and it is not for the feint hearted that's for sure but a very special place when you get it something like right. Sounds like a lot of re surfacing has been done which if like the Glen road will make it very tricky especially so when dark and if wet

This time next week will be there, can't wait.

Well we are about 6 hrs from Dday! Recce gone really well and made some hopefully useful additions to last years notes and made some from scratch as this years route uses the route from 2008. Even managed to keep all 4 tyres inflated on recce car this year, result! Kept seeing Davo on recce and he looked progressivly more nervous each time! Sure he will be quick though especially if it stays dry which it looks good for Had a mare on set up as I have been running stiffer springs this year and they wouldn't work out here Hopefully we have it about dialled in now. On run across Mishnish to scrutineering this morning car developed a miss fire but fairly sure a set of plugs will clear that up (bugger to swap on a Scubby but young Jack seems to love doing em)
Will try and update at end of each leg but.................

bust diff mount apparently... and harpers mini showing accident fire ! quite alot of retirements, but dry and fast so most seem to be pushing hard, close at the top.
