Anyone else from the forum takin part in this 1.Will be my first gravel rally since the riponian in Feb and only my second forest event in the car. I have drafted in the very experianced Ian Jackson to the passenger seat so will be looking for a good result...

Was thinking about it but lack of cash and I have plans for the end of the year.

How did you get on mate

Great rally really enjoyed it , was lying 13 th overall when it was wet but lost ground to the more powerful cars in the afternoon when it dried out finished 17 th overall 3rd in class

We were seeded behind you in the scooby and you certainly seemed to be going well until SS6. It looked like you were having cooling issues after that. There seemed to be a lot of steam/vapour from the exhaust on the start line?

We dis lodged the radiator on ss6 which split the top hose managed to bodge 1 together for the final run...

Do E30 radiators use plastic mountings?

We had rad mount grief with the E36 - the plastic top fixings were cable-tied shut and it broke the plastic bottom mounts off.

Welded steel bottom mounts with cable-tied shut plastic top mounts have been ok. (Allows a bit of movement, but prevents them from escaping.)

Tad tricky fabricating the steel bottom mounts to allow some movement without chaffing the rad.
