Hi folks, just a quick hello and update as to where Sunbmw's life is at the mo.............

Well, house is finished, and we are all moved in, however, we have ran out of funds to build the monster garage that is planned, I have loosely put the Tango Escort back up for sale, but not had a sniff, and not gonna give it away so the garage may have to wait.

For a while now, quite a few mates/colleauges etc have been saying "You look poorly", and to be honest, I have not been feeling 100% for a bit, I even have lost interest in the cars at the minute, that IS bad! So, I decide a trip to see the quack is in order, after walking in, and him saying "you look poorly", I knew thing mustn't be great!

So we chat about how I have been feeling, of course, with the illness I have, he asks if that is all in order which it does seem to be. Anyway, he reckons I am very anemic, so does some blood tests and sends em off to the lab next day................

Next day he rings me and says that my blood count is mega low, i.e, a healthy adult male's blood count should be 13, mine was 5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am still functioning ok, still working 12 hour days etc, so he says rather than rush in for a transfusion, he is gonna try Iron tablets first, but I will be having another blood test next week, and if nothing has improved, he may send me to hospital.

In a way, I am glad that something has shown up, I was putting it all down to the stresses of getting the house done and the big move, but I was wrong.

So anyway, heres hoping that I get my mojo back soon, and start to get something productive done.

you all seem to be cracking on with Various projects etc, Simon seems awfully quiet though....................anyone know why?

Well, I've been meaning to contact you (and one or two others) for ages Lee. Now seems as appropriate a time as any....

I've had some health issues myself. Golf ball sized malignant tumour removed from my bladder two weeks ago. (I've known for several months.)

I had some chemotherapy immediately after the operation and the pathology results are promising - no more surgery or chemo planned atm.

I'm back in 3 months for another operation to inspect the war zone and check for developments or new tumours (50% rate of recurrence). If there's anything else to remove I'll have to have a full dose of chemotherapy afterwards, if there isn't - it's 3 monthly check-ups for now.

If we're in the same hospital at any stage, you can have the nurse with the tattoos!

That is VERY spooky.

I mentioned to Sam today that you had been awfully quiet, and I did think that illness maybe why.

Got every mortal thing crossed for you mate, can't imagine what you must be going through atm, look after yourself and those around you.

Not sure what is gonna happen with me, got to have a camera in all three orifices, yep, you read right, three. Because I have a ileostomy (s**t bag in "non medical" terms ) I will have to have endoscopes down the throat, in the rectal stump (they left a part of my Colon in case I ever got "re-connected") and in the end where my poo comes out now.

I am fairly sure they will end up giving me some blood but we shall see.

sounds like you're both having a bit of a difficult time of it at the moment. stay positive and i'm sure you'll both have your mojo back soon

I think we all secound that, you two are what got me started on the BM adventure! If there's anything I can do to help just ask. My thoughts are with you both

Lee, Just make sure 4 out of the 12 hours a day are working on something enjoyable
Dont neglect yourself and i hope you get sorted asap.

Sounds like you both need to take it easy for a while and work on getting repaired. Hope your re-charged soon mate.

How's it going Lee? Hope you're on the mend.

I had investigative surgery two weeks ago as a follow-up and things are looking ok. Hoping to get some mojo repairing done now with a rally car.

glad to hear that.. now get in the garage!!

Building a new 60 M2 garage....













Compact is recently MOTd and just requires a PAS pump to be ready to go.

Acquired a massive stock of tyres over the winter too.

LOL. Loads of grass on that slope and it's a PITA to mow.

Audi vert is a 3.2 Quattro manual 6. Jeep is a 3.7 auto and does 13 MPG.
