What car

Looking for a 328 donor car for my R reg compact.
What car could I purchase to give an easy fit?
is it any 328?
what year cars can I use?
I want to use my compact dash as its Flocked and use donor cars car loom as mine has been butchered.
Obviously will have to alter clocks etc,or will other dash fit?
I plan on matting props together etc.

we fitted a 4 door e36 dash in ours, but a 328 sport would be a good base as the front legs are an inverted damper and can be re-valved to your own spec.

I take it that all the 3 series are the same internally then? with in reason, so fuel pump wiring will fir compact shell etc

generally, probably some wire shortening, stripping the unwanted etc

hi there just nearly finished building a a compact with a 328 engine ect fitted used the original loom out of the compact with the engine loom out the 328 all works a treat. Just stripped the compact loom of any usless bits and the engine loom plugs stright in the origianl place all you need from the 328 is the engine loom and ews unit and the chip out of the key unless you get it deleted kenny

busy day, two engines taken out then installed the 328 in the compact.
Compact up for painting interior tomorrow and can then install my dash back from flocking
