The forum upgrade became a matter of 'urgency' due to a problem with new user registrations.

MrF runs & hosts websites for his livelihood. He also has a very young family and probably doesn't have a great deal of spare time to devote for forums that provide 'negative revenue'. (Or rallying. )

If we badger MrF with a more representative banner pic, I'm sure he'll sort it given more time.
