130 I engine

Hello
Can anyone help, I was planning on copying Martin (MEF) and converting my 130(2007) into a rally car, but I was told that, that type of engine would not run correctly after the old loom and ecu had been replaced .

The 130i engine is valvetronic and has no throttle body, it relies on valve timing and lift to be adjusted to allow more or less air in and out. it wouldnt make the power it does if it used a traditional inlet
