E36 compact fuel tank vent

Hi!

I am a bit puzzled what to do with the fuel tank breather on my rally compact. I was thinking removing the additional tank and route vent straight to filler end (and use non return valve in the middle to not allow fuel to leak when car is upside down). What do you think?
