Ohh and BTW, I just spotted that Demon Tweeks are a sponsor on this web site, Such a good company to deal with! There extremely well priced for shipping to NZ. Having to deal with other people from the otherside of the world can be a real pain sometimes, were often put in the too hard basket down here but DT were amazing. Was very happy with them

Another quick update via a couple of photos. Rear end ready to go in. Eccentric bolts and strengthened sway bar mounts Back on its feet. Frint end has since gone together, Weeks plans are to install M50 inlet manifold and get the dash back in.

It RUNS! Am so happy haha. I lost a few hours trying to sort out about a half dozen wiring faults (most were my fault!) but after 2.5 years it finally beathed into life for the first time. Should be able to drive it down the driveway over the coming weekend. So stoked!

So long time no update! Just to let you know its all finished and have already completed in the cars first event. A four day rally in NZ called the Targa rally. Finished first in class, 2nd in 2wd modern and fourth over all. Super stoked with the car and bloody impressed with it!!! We ended up winning the second to last stage outright and doing so with a car with 182 hp felt awesome! Will put up some photos soon but here is a small video of the first stage. I just needed to get a handbrake slide out of my system haha. Hope this works: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=731154486898201&set=vb.111653718848284&type=2&theaterAnd I made national tv for all the wrong reasons! I couldnt help myself on corners with lots of spectators or cameras haha http://www.3news.co.nz/Jason-Gill-holds ... fault.aspx

Excellent result. well done. You have us jealous over here. A cracking event by the looks of it with cracking coverage in the media. We are a long way behind that I'm afraid.

Another long time no update post... Things have progressed over the last two years. I started to feel underwhelmed with the power i was getting out of the M52 so I bit the bullet and installed an S54 with 6 speed gearbox into the compact late last year. Was just in time for the New Zealand Targa rally that was a massive distance of just over 1000km of special stages over 6 days. It was marketed as the longest tarmac rally in the world. An epic week with some awesome stages. Here are some photos:
