Hi guys
My name is Chris and I have been lurking on this forum for few weeks now. Probably read most of the build threads ha ha.
I build and rallied the MK2 Golf for few years but after codrving in A86 Corolla I decided to go RWD. Since I been driving bimmers for past ten years it wasn’t hard to choose a car – well finish group F videos made the decision much easier.
I hope that with the knowledge and experience of the forum members I’ll be able to put together nice and reliable car.

This year I did some coodriving

1973 Corolla we borrowed earlier this year, the look on face of some of the Subaru drivers after they found out about our times - priceless. Also the number of people that came to talk to us at the park expose was amazing.

Well since you like the pictures I’ll share few more.
I still think that golf is great car to get started in the sport. Reliable if put together using right bits. Inexpensive to buy and maintain. Keep in mind; we don’t have Astras, MG’s or any of the French cars. Focus with shitty US motor and older SOHC civics were the only other hatchbacks. Now we see more and more civics with go fast Japanese swaps that do leave the golf behind :(

Thank you, this was one of the reasons I got the place, but buying a house and doing the shop did keep me away from rallying for couple of years. Can’t have everything I guess, unless I start printing money in the basement.

TE27 – Japanese escort ha ha. Build into rally car new back in ‘73 and still rallying on regular basis. 2.0 litre, 2 Weber’s, and sounds so awesome, we just couldn’t stop giggling
