Firstly, Hello I'm new here !
Bit of a basic question, looking for some standard parts for our 'new to us' E36 318 compact to get it running right.

Cam sensor, Breather hose/trap, Cat

Who would you guys suggest for parts apart from BMW
I tend to use Eurocarparts, any other thoughts?

Just learnt that due to a change of policy O.E parts in the uk can now only be supplied by BMW dealers :(
If there is a pattern part available (such as serviceable items) then these can be sourced from places such as C3bmw or GSF etc

Got a tidy CAT that passed Mot 2 weeks before removal if you want a second hand one? Which breather you need?

Thanks for the suggestions on companies, that's a great help.
mrfuzzyfelts, I think we've sourced a cat locally but thanks for the offer - I'll be in touch if it doesn't work out :?
Admitted defeat and bought the breather from BMW !

Thanks again for the offers/suggestions.
Once we've got this all sorted, time to get some miles on it and see how it goes. I think the next job will be front suspension, what would you recomend as a budget (seriously limited)approach.
It's going to be a general runabout and few 12 cars initially.

MTEC suspension is not a bad starting point and if you can do some swapping the larger engined cars have bilstein suspension as standard i believe.

We run spax shocks and platform struts on the rally car with no complaints to be honest. Not too expensivce for the PSX brand.
