Wheel size?.?.?.?

Postby mrfuzzyfelts » Tue Feb 05, 2013 10:42 pm

What wheels can I run on the compact?

What are you lot running?

Size, spaces etc?

My plan is to run 18" x 8J from front of e46 m

With 225 40 18 / 225 650 18

Will these fit without issues?

Offset is wrong , you'll have to use E36 rims......

Got some and they fit no probs

18" MV1 BMW wheels... But you have to have 4 fronts... Rears won't fit

Just be careful they are within width of the new rules, I know scruts are getting wise to tyre widths

What new rules?

I thought as long as they are within arches and correct fitting of mudflaps there was no issue :?

They all carry tyre gauges now, i run 16 yoko's with 210 635 and the calipers just fit over. It must fit over tyre and the rim

I run 18 x 8 all round on my 1 series, 225 650 18 WRC tyres and they're perfectly legal within allowed dimensions, running 9" on the rear would be ideally better but too wide for blue book regs!

Im with Martyn on this one i run 8" width 18" Dia rims with 220 650 18 WRC Rubber it all depends on the offset to clear etc if you are gonna run an un-arched car etc as i think 18" will be far to big for an un-arched Compact for clearence issues on the rear etc.

With the right offset wheels Dave there no problem, i've run them on the old car, imo the car feels alot more stable on 16's than 18's .............
